Album Cover Research

Firstly, our album cover shouldn't be too bright to catch the consumers attention.  I would go for a dark grey or black background. The font colour could be red, gold or white. Despite 'red' being the most eye catching colour, i decided that it doesn't fit with our theme with the main artists theme of dark colours and greyish appearance. This fits with the main song 'Emotions' as filters and the colour code gave it a more dull look to a song revealing emotions.

Once carrying on more research knowing what type of covers i am after, i came across the successful hip-hop artist Rick Ross who within the hip-hop industry reached huge success. His net worth is $92,153,182.28 as revealed.

As we can identify below, most of his album covers consists of the black and gold theme with some grey themes of the albums 'Deeper than rap' 2009 & 'Rich forever' 2012.

Themes
God Forgives, I Don't - Mostly gold with black parts with Rick Ross's image
The Black Bar Mitzvah - Gold star, Black background Rick Ross's image
Trilla - Rick ross image in car, gold ring blends with a black/gold effect
Rich Forever - Grey background, Rick Ross's image with Gold ring
Hood Billionaire - Blue Rick Ross with all Gold chains and jewellery

However, his most recent album cover was a turn over Mastermind 2014. Despite his image being present, there is NO sign of gold but eye-catching colour which has got nothing to do with his most recent music videos etc

Other successful artists who used the Gold/Black theme.
