AS MEDIA



Brief summery on what I learned during my last weeks on AS Media studies about music videos.



  • We, as a class, looked at Jennifer Lopez's music video with Pitbull
  • We were grouped and focused on specific parts such as, Mise en scene, editing, camera and sound.
  • Once we put all our ideas together, we had an understanding of what production companies/agencies do in order to appeal to their audience.
  • Music videos have specific audiences such a teenagers, young adults, males and females of all age.
For example, the props used within Mise en scene, are luxurious and expensive.  We could also identify that the jewellery  used is eye catching which appeals to the female audience. 
The car used at the beginning is a BMW, German manufactured and known to be expensive and a powerful car to own, which may imply to Jennifer Lopez having a powerful image of her self.
