my genre of choice is rap, hip hop, so the artist i chose to analyse is A$AP Rocky, an american rapper from Harlem New york city.

The front cover is of the artists face, his name and album
name are printed across the front middle of the cover in a bold white font on top
of a black line across the middle as well, there is also a use of a black and
white filter applied across the whole back and front of the album cover, the
track listing on the back is also written in white coloured font on top of a
black line. Finally i noticed a special effect that look like fuzzy tv scan
lines across the covers.

Features seen across all products
There are 4 main features seen across all 4 products
which create brand identity the first and most obvious is the black and white
filter ,the filter is seen across all of the products, the second feature is
the black on white or white on black, for example the white font on the album cover on top of a black
stripe, the white font of the release date on black background and finally the
black font on the white background on the tv in the music video. The third
feature which is quite heavy and is a distinguished feature which is personal
to the artist is the fuzzy tv scan lines across the screen /album cover/tv
trailer effect. Finally a clear feature which re occurs across all products is
the artists face.
