Functions of a Music Video

The music video i adire to watch which engages me as well as entertains is T.I. Featuring Iggy - No mediocre.

  1. Mise en scene - There were a variety of props and equipment used. Ti starting off with his army/urban style outfit. He has 4 different outfits within different locations and times of the music video.
  • T.I. looks pretty smart alongside his accessory to go with which looks luxurious.

  • T.I. in the streets of Rio De Janeiro.

  • T.I. with a more urban look viewing Rio De Janeiro with an establishing shot.

  •  Iggy Azalea has two main outfits within the video. Above is when she walks through the allies of Rio De Janeiro.

  •  A shot together at a night gather up with females dancing.

  •  T.I. within his apartment somewhere in Brazil with several ladies with him in a short sleeve hoodie which seems to be promoting some sort outfit.
  • Camera - the use of camera and shots usually Mid established shots, to reveal the surrounding of setting was done clearly. With the centre always being targeted on the artists, this video's use of camera work was certainly extremely pleasing as it gave a movie look to it too.
  • Sound - the music video has continuous use of soundtracks, the artist lip syncing. However, at some points T.I. and Iggy dance together without saying anything. The sound was good as it gave a clear understanding of the music without any interruptions of any other sound.
  • Editing - the framework gave the music video a high budget approach almost what they use in movies. With the clear and high definition visuals, it made it extremely entertaining for the audience to watch, possibly numerous times without hesitating.

This is the reason why i believe this music video is a great example.
